HOPPE'S - 6 oz. Gun Cleaner

This is an amazing low-odor cleaner! Parts that usually take a dunk or two in an ultrasonic cleaner and some elbow grease, can now be cleaned with a nylon brush a rag and a pick for tight spaces. My main rifle gets some serious abuse and can easily see a thousand rounds in a month. So the build up on the main parts can sometimes be a pain to get clean or take a while with some elbow grease. This last maintenance day I used this product for the first time and was amazed on how quick and easy it was to clean parts. When compared to M-Pro 7, Lucas, or shooters choice this stuff went to work well ahead of its competitors. I typically use nylon brushes so I expect some elbow grease when it comes to cleaning but this made light work of carbon build up. Most parts were able to get a light scrub and wipe off while other parts like the bolt tail and firing pin needed some extra TLC. Definitely recommend this cleaner!

Great product

Hoppe's has really developed an outstanding product. I had some carbon deposits built up on my daily carry handgun and just 2 squirts on the carbon and they just melted away. Other cleaners I would have to sit there and scrub with a brush. My new favorite cleaner and my guns have never been cleaner!

I've been using Hoppe's 9 "Black" gun cleaner for 3 years and I can say it's the best of the new batch of cleaners out there. It's non-toxic and doesn't have a foul smell or odor (however it also doesn't have the trademark Hoppes-benzene smell that some are fond of either). It really does a great job on carbon and is adequate on copper fouling (still need their separate copper remover for really bad fouling) and you use less elbow-grease and time (compared to M-Pro 7 or Otis) to clean out all the stubborn gunk. Great for AR's and polymer pistols as it won't harm the polymer or leave a sticky residue.
