What is the HOPPE'S - BENCH REST-9 COPPER SOLVENT?

Specially developed to meet the needs of benchrest competition. Contains no abrasives. Dissolves heavy copper deposits, carbon buildup, lead and plastic fouling safely, by chemical action. Powerful, safe, fast, cleans even heavy copper fouling overnight. Use with nylon or stainless brushes only.

Hoppe's Bench Rest Cleaning Solvent.
I've been using this product for nearly 20 years and I will not consider a bore truly clean until I've run patches soaked with Bench Rest through it. I've found it invaluable for cleaning carbon and other metal residue out of the bore. It complements No.9 solvent very well and I use the two of them one right after the other to do a complete and thorough job of cleaning. I have never had a bore rust after being cleaned with Bench Rest and it has never damaged any of my firearms through the years. Not once. Robustly recommended!

Recommended for cleaning fmj residue
Lots of people clean their barrels with lead solvent not realizing that they actually need copper solvent because they're firing jacketed rounds. This is the stuff.
