I just broke off a jag in this. My fault but really bummed because this is my favorite .22 rod ever bar none. I done it on my Dewey also, guess I will never learn. Gotta tighten that jag tight and watch it. It is sturdy enought up to ..357 which says a lot for a 1/8 rod with 8/32. I didn't use a bore guide on .32 mag and .357 but will now. I will be getting a .22 bore guide, I have all the larger ones. It will not bend period. I am ordering 3 more now while the getting is good. Mine was 9" long, need longer get a longer jag. I don't because I keep revolver cylinder open when cleaning. I clean chambers separate. I push rod in with palm on rear and turns nicely. My 1/4" Dewey is larger diameter than.22 jag. Get brass shavings and hard on bore ends.

Fits dewey and otis brushes and loops that I've tried. Great for 22 cal but use small patches. Great for AR chamber cleanout. It's the little things that make life easier.

Brass rod came bent. Not as sturdy as the Dewey's pistol cleaning rod.

I tend to believe this cleaning rod is adequate for most small bore handguns. However, I found it was not long enough to safely clean a S&W Model 41 with a 7 inch barrel. The rod handle rubbed slightly on the barrel extension, which flexed the rod. The rod could then rub on the edge(s) of the chamber opening and maybe elsewhere inside the bore. I returned this rod and ordered a carbon fiber rod.
