Product Spotlight: Sig Sauer P365 Rose

Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb is stoked to tell us about something new from Sig Sauer - the P365 Rose package. As you might expect, it includes a P365 pistol, but the Rose package is much more. It was developed in collaboration with world-champion competition shooter AND firearm instructor Lena Miculek specifically for women gun buyers. Lena is the daughter of another famous world-champion competition shooter, Jerry Miculek.

 

The gun is in fact a P365-XL Comp, so it has the built-in compensator up front and is optic-ready, meaning the slot under the removable cover plate accepts a red dot sight with an RMSc footprint. It comes with Sig night sights and has Sig's proprietary light / laser sight mounting rail on the underside of the frame.

 

What makes the P365 Rose different from a standard P365-XL Comp is the rose-gold finish on the trigger, thumb safety, slide release lever, takedown lever, and backplate of the slide. The grip texture even has a stylized floral pattern to it. The rose-gold accents are tasteful and understated. Sig and Lena know that "Powerpuff Girls Pink" is not every woman's favorite color! The gun got admiring comments even from guys here at Brownells HQ.

 

What else comes in the box with the P365 Rose? Two 12-round steel magazines and a handy magazine loader to help preserve the thumbs while filling those mags. You also get five 9mm Luger dummy rounds. Instead of the customary plastic carrying case, the P365 Rose comes with a Vaultek Lifepod portable pistol safe with an electronically operated lock. For those who plan to store their Rose in a larger gun safe, the vault has mechanical latches, so it can be left unlocked and used as a simple storage box.

 

But there's MORE to the Rose package: the purchaser also gets access to a special section of the Sig Sauer website with training guides and videos by Lena specifically designed for women shooters, both beginners and the more experienced. This includes home dryfire drills that use those dummy rounds. The video training takes the new shooter step-by-step from holding a pistol for the first time to their first trip to the range.

 

For the woman who wants to get started in the shooting sports and training for self-defense, the Sig P365 Rose package is a great starter kit. It's just as great for the experienced shooter who wants a full-featured daily carry pistol that looks just a bit different from every other Sig P365-XL.
