What is the BURRIS - Signature Pos-Align Offset Insert .010?

By utilizing Pos-Align Offset Inserts in Signature Rings, you can virtually sight-in your gun without moving the scope adjustments. By keeping the internal optics centered, you'll see through the scope all of the clarity, sharpness, and brightness that the optics designers intended for you to see. The offset inserts also correct for any misalignment caused by receiver holes drilled off center, or the bases or rings being slightly off perfect center. And for you 1000-yard shooters, the need for expensive tapered bases or shimming becomes a hassle and expense of the past.

SPECS: Synthetic,1 pair of black .010 inserts. For 1" rings only.

What Reviewers Are Saying
Ease of Use
50%
Many reviews highlight that the Pos-Align Inserts are effective in allowing fine adjustments for scope alignment. Users find that these inserts simplify the process of aligning optics, especially on well-manufactured rifles, but emphasize that they require a detail-oriented approach for the best results.
Stability and Effectiveness
30%
Reviewers often mention the stability these inserts bring to the scope mounting system, particularly noting that they can eliminate misalignment issues. However, some users experienced challenges with maintaining stability under certain conditions, specifically with powerful rifles.
Compatibility
40%
The inserts are appreciated for their versatility with various rifles, but some users note compatibility issues on certain models. Users with properly aligned rifles found them to work excellently, while others reported difficulties, indicating the importance of rifle manufacturing quality.
Long-range Shooting Benefits
60%
Several reviews assert that these inserts significantly improve long-range shooting capabilities by allowing for adequate elevation adjustments while keeping the internal scope adjustments neutral. Shooters aiming for longer distances particularly benefit from this feature.

Lifesaver
Had a Mauser side mount with misaligned holes being drilled too high (my fault). Tried 3 different scopes and none had enough elevation adjustment to compensate. After trying different combinations of these Pos-Align inserts found the right pair to give the scope a proper bore sighting. On a side note, I think these would be a great alternative to 20 degree bases on long range rifle or airguns and allow extreme fine tuning.

They just work!
Don't know what the guy was talking about that couldn't make these work nor what cutting the finger out of a rubber glove has to do with using them? I have used these for a very long time. If you have a rifle that is manufactured right, barrel aligned, mount holes aligned etc., you can get 30 MOA or more in any direction without touching the windage or elevation adjustments. If you do not have such a rifle (and few do) these bushings will still enable you to align the optic with the bore even on a Remington 700. It can be time consuming but worth the effort. Once and done! It is nice to look through a scope and actually see what is intended for you to see because you do not have the lenses all cranked out of alignment with each other. If you are fooling with production rifles you need these in all three sizes. If you are not detail oriented these may not be for you. Oh, did I mention, no lapping compound all over the place!

Versitile
I shoot rimfire benchrest at 100 yards outdoors during good weather. During the winter months we shoot indoors at 50 feet. Without the burris inserts my elevation would max out. I've got 1/8th inch clicks.

Adds Usable Range to your Scope
These Offset Inserts used in the Signature Rings allow you to correct for bases that may have been install off centered and more importantly they allow you to add from .005" to .030 incline to your scope rings. This allows you to essentialy sight your scope at 100 yrds while the internal scope adjustments are still centered, this means that how ever much internal adjustment you have it is still avalible to you for sighting in at longer ranges, if your shooting a .308 at 1000 yards a possitive .030 incline will work wonders for allowing you to sight in that far while still looking through the middle of your glass.. I have 3 sets of these mounted right now including one set I put on my 12 guage slug gun, by using these I am now able to dial my scope in out to ranges of 100 to 150 yards and the scope has remained solid with no movement in over 500 rounds of 3" slugs fired under them so far. Definetely a good product. P.S. 0 offset inserts allows you to mount your scope level and just enjoy the non marring qualities of these rings/inserts if you choose RemMax

Slips even when using the glove idea.
I shoot a 30/06 Springfield M1 Garand with a scope. I tried using the system with the standard ring with no adjustment and shot about a hundred rounds. This way it did not move that I could notice in these groups. I tried both elevation adjustments and windage adjustments by doing both top, bottom, left and right individual and both together rotating font and back to get corrections I needed. I even tried the solution offered to cut a finger out of a rubber glove and they all shifted. Maybe on a less powerful or non gas operated rifle they might work fine but in my case it didn't happen.
