LEUPOLD - ALUMINA FLIP BACK LENS COVER KIT

I bought a set of these covers for a Leupold vx3i LRP 6.5-20x50 (172344) scope. They're pricey but I view this as a buy once cry once purchase. Glass is something that has to be protected. I hunt muley's and elk in the mountains, and I carry this setup to hunt whitetail's and hogs - these are ideal in both environments. For whatever reason I can be clumsy and unknowingly damage my gear...these covers give me some peace of mind that my gear will be taken care of. Plus, if I'm honest, they look pretty cool too, so there's that. But bottom line is they function properly and I'd undoubtedly buy again. As far as install goes, there are a couple vids on YT that are beneficial to the install process - mainly getting the inner adjustment tightened appropriately, so that the covers are vertically aligned (meaning the "L" is oriented up and down).

Very well constructed lens covers. Each covers turns independent of its threaded attachment ring facilitating exact placement of the covers when opened.

These are outstanding scope covers that I expect to last the life of the Leupold scope it is mounted on. I bought these for a new Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40mm scope because of previous experience with another set on my Leupold MK4 LR scope. Easy to mount, solid construction, quiet operation, and match the color of the scope. The use of magnets is unique feature that I appreciate more as I use it. They are relatively expensive but this is a "cry once and enjoy for years" later deal. I highly recommend these scope covers for your Leupold scope!
