Product Spotlight: Radian Ramjet & Afterburner

  No, we're not talking about aerospace products today, despite what you might assume from this episode's title. Caleb gives us a tour of the Ramjet match-grade pistol barrel and Afterburner compensator, both from Radian Weapons. The very compact Afterburner reduces muzzle rise by as much as 44% with standard 9mm Luger 115 gr FMJ ammo. That gives you a huge improvement in control of your pistol and your ability to keep the sights planted on the target through multiple shots. Your pistol will be a LOT pleasanter to shoot, without compromising its reliability. Competition shooters are gonna love the Ramjet + Afterburner combo.
  Good news for folks who live in states that don't allow threaded barrels! There are NO muzzle threads. Radian designed the Afterburner to be anchored to the Ramjet by a simple setscrew. The result is a very secure, highly effective muzzle device that is also easy to detach for cleaning.  
  At the time this episode was recorded, the Ramjet + Afterburner combo was available only for the Glock 19, with separate units for Gen3, Gen 4 and Gen 5 pistols. Let's hope the Radian folks have combos for more pistols in the works! Bonus: the portion of the Afterburner protruding from the front of the slide is short enough that a Glock 19 with one installed will fit handily in holsters made for the Glock 17.
