The firearm world was rocked by the introduction of the Shockwave firearm from Mossberg, which tilted traditional shotgun designs on its head, having a short, 14-inch barrel that's non-NFA, thanks to a unique birdshead grip that provides an overall length of more than 26 inches. Now, the Mossberg Shockwave FDE gives consumers a new finish option in the ever-expanding Shockwave lineup. Thanks to the unique, shortened design of the Mossberg Shockwave FDE, consumers have a great home-defense option that can be easily maneuvered inside the home. The design of the receiver incorporates all of the benefits of Mossberg's 590 shotgun action, including dual shell extractors, an anti-jam elevator and twin action bars that are designed not to bind up.

Furniture-wise, the corn-cob fore-end complete with built-in strap allows for enhanced control on the Mossberg Shockwave FDE, and the birdshead-style Raptor Shockwave grip is built to reduce the impact of felt recoil.
